Create-a-prompt: Pick a random headline from msnbc.com and use it as the first line of a poem.

Custody

The new rules of child custody
are in and folks won't be happy.
Turns out anyone can apply:
your mom, your dad, the creepy guy
down the street, even Tom Cruise.
Turns out there's no age limit
to the definition of a child, either.
Go ahead, apply for custody
of the president. In fact,
better get him before he gets you.
And maybe that's where we've arrived:
To a place where we believe
that freedom is dead so long
as all of our paperwork is in order.
