Thoughts on the CWP process

Posting completely fresh creative writing on the internet is a new thing for me. The poem I wrote tonight I didn't revise and I don't like how I rushed to an ending without giving the overall concept adequate thought. Usually when I start with a prompt or an artificial frame I like to push an idea as far as I can take it, then go back and revise. Tonight, because of how this CWP process is working, I wrote and I posted. Maybe it is good and I'll see that in a day or two. But right now it looks undeveloped to me and makes me antsy that it's on a blog instead of a notebook.

Even a post like this that contains my fresh thoughts rather than a crafted piece makes me antsy to post. But I want the record for myself (see: tagline at top of blog); and, who knows, one of the creative folks who read this might make use of such ramblings at some point.
