Come around here often?

My wife is doing more to get me writing than I am myself. She's started a new blog and is challenging herself to follow one writing prompt from this site every day. Being a loyal husband, and someone who clearly needs to write more himself, I will follow suit, every day, with the same prompt.

It's been a busy while for both of us, but we both realize that isn't an excuse to ditch our arts. We've started a writing group with Amanda's brother, which is great, even if we've only managed one meeting so far (the second was canceled when we arrived home from Thanksgiving in Minnesota to find our house had no water... did I mention we've been busy?). I worked on a few poems in that time and continued to ponder my novel idea, which is far more than I had been doing before the group formed. Reading and thinking about other people's writing does wonders for my own... as do deadlines.

So! You'll be seeing one of these writing prompts every day from me now, but hopefully that doesn't become the only content here; if anything, I hope it will get me stirred up to keep jotting more regular posts in addition to the prompts.
