Always something new, always one thing the same

Whew.

From November 2006 to this Saturday--that's just 20 months--I'll have made the following changes:

• Quit two different jobs for two different reasons
• Started two new jobs in two new fields
  
• Moved three times
• Lived in three different states
• Got married
• Grown a beard
  

Alright, maybe the last one isn't quite as big as the others (although we'll see what my family says about that the next time they see me).

I think about all of this now because in five hours my wife and I will close on our first house. It's strange "weird and mostly wonderful" the changes that can be put in motion by one little, sighing email in September 2004.

So here's to a few years of stability before the second love of my life (this one so very tiny) shows up and changes it all again. And again for the best.
